How do you measure PR value in Print or Broadcast?
MediaBanc measures PR value based on industry standards. This is by using Advertising Value Equivalency (AVE) which is computed by getting the article size (cm x cm) or time (for broadcast) multiplied by advertising rate (for that page or time slot) multiplied by 3.
What is SOE ADVANCE?
It is an on-demand and interactive viewing of your relative Exposure volume vis-à-vis your PR values based on your parameters of choice (By Company, By Media Title, By Journalist, etc.)
What is Valuator?
Valuator is an online, DIY tool that allows you to view your media effectiveness achievements through MediaBanc-developed metrics – ROI and Tonality. The tool’s dashboard is composed of charts that will allow you to view the performance of your overall PR efforts on a daily or month-to-date basis.
What is Media Content Analysis
Media Content Analysis is a scientific approach in measuring your over-all Return on Investment (ROI) from the media by incorporating Impact (Impression Attributes), Tone, and the brand’s Share-of-Exposure (Share in Ad Value) within the article. Apart from ROI, a measure on favorability (Tonality) and perception (Key Messages) will also be made available to you.
What is Tonality?
Tonality reflects the brand’s performance in terms of article impact, message translation and favorability. It, however, discounts the size of the exposure as well as the audience reach of the article.
What is Media ROI?
ROI refers to the brand’s over-all media effectiveness. In addition to Tonality, ROI also incorporates the size of the brand exposure as well as the audience reach of the article.
How reliable are your metrics?
The MediaBanc formula for ROI and Tonality is the only Southeast Asian based methodology that was certified and validated by the international governing body for media evaluation agencies – AMEC. To know more about AMEC and the industry, visit their site at
